Mixing materials is an on-going design request. What first started off as a trend years ago, more homeowners are mixing it up to create warmth and contrast.

White kitchens, white countertops, and white accents can be too much for some homeowners. But selecting areas of contrast, like an island or pantry, breaks up the stark white and adds warmth and character to an otherwise sterile aesthetic.

Using lighter materials at the upper cabinets and leaving the base cabinets in a darker tone makes a smaller kitchen look larger. The white countertops keeps the aesthetic clean and fresh
