Each year, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), hosts one of the biggest Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, this year held in Las Vegas as part of Design & Construction Week.
Industry insiders from all over the world participate in this 3-day expo, complete with new product launches, education seminars, and special events. This year, like previous years, combined the kitchen & bath industry with the builders industry. It was one of the highest attended event in previous years.
Several trends were popular at the show: Mixed metals, vibrant colors, jewel toned colors and innovative kitchen and bath solutions. Technology changes each year for our industry, especially for the Smart kitchen and bath spaces. So many manufacturers have made the tasks of daily cooking and bathing available at a touch of a button. Pre-heating when you’re sitting in traffic, temperature controls and remote start for your showers, just to name a few.
Faucet and sink options are plentiful with emphasis on mixed metals this year. Appliance displays at the show were unbelievable with really bright pops of color and rich, deep tones for refrigerators and ranges. Cabinet solutions change yearly as well. Storage is one of the biggest design features for a kitchen with motorized upper cabinet lifting systems and touch-to-open cabinetry (no cabinet pulls/knobs).
Expect to see these trends and options in a couple of months. You can see more options and pictures on our Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram pages.
